WORSHIP IS A HOME BASE FOR YOUR FAITH JOURNEY - COME FIND OUT WHY

 Get Directions

One way that we love God is through the ritual of worship. While worship doesn't have to happen on a Sunday morning in a church building, we gather together because it reminds us how important our faith is in our lives. Also, it's good to see our church family!

We know there are seasons in all our lives when we don't always feel like worshiping, or it seems like an impossible thing to 'add to the list.' But it's kind of like going to the gym, or making time for that walk: you may not want to go at first... but you never regret it in the end.

Worship is a key part of an active faith life, and we want you to join us. You are invited to come and see what we are talking about this Sunday!

Coming in Worship

Sermon Series on Healing Stories in the Bible

It's still 2020, and many of us (for different reasons) find ourselves in a place where we need deep healing of all kinds, so this fall in worship we will be reading and preaching on 'Healing Stories in the Bible.' To accompany this series, several of our resident artists have made visuals (check out the wall art, communion table, and heart!) to help us think about the healing process, alongside recognizing where we might be broken. Pat Burrows, Rick Raley, and Tom Wolfe have been hard at work not just making art, but inviting us all to reflect on the scriptures.

If you are interested in a longer description/discussion of some of the art and more pictures, click here!

Looking ahead, it may be helpful for you to know what scriptures we are reading together:

What to Expect

Chancel Choir

Chancel Choir – Due to COVID-19 and the precautions we have in place, we are unable to sing or rehearse in person. We are using this time to rehearse the 2-4(5)th Mondays on zoom. We use these digital rehearsals to build music reading and vocal technique as well as rehearsing literature that we will be able to use one we can move back to our normal liturgy when it is safe to do so, For information about joining the digital group please email Dylan at dylancrehm@yahoo.com

Handbell Choir

Handbell Choir – Due to COVID-19 we are unable to rehearse or perform as of now, but we look forward to being able to resume our ministry once it is safe. For more information please email Dylan at dylancrehm@yahoo.com

Praise Band

Praise Band – “Messenger” praise band leads worship at our 11:15am service September – May, and is also present in every summer service as well. The band consists of several singers, drums, percussion, guitars, bass & keyboard, ranging in age from 15-71. (What other band in the world can say that?) But they are always eager to add new musicians, especially so that current musicians can rotate in and out of worship. The Band plays five songs in worship weekly, covering a wide range of classic hymns, contemporary Christian music, and inspirational songs from popular culture. For more information on how you can be involved contact Band Leader, Kurt Schweitz at kurtschweitz@gmail.com

Sound/AV

Sunday worship would be a lot harder without many "behind the scenes" helpers. At each indoor service we need an Audio/Visual volunteer to help with the worship PowerPoint slides. We are always in need of folk to create slides and/or help run the visual side of worship. We also need people to help operate the Sound Board - we can train you! We also record all of our services and share sermons and other worship pieces on Youtube.

Ushers & Greeters

Do you love to be a helping hand? Then we would love for you to serve God by being an usher! Our ushers typically volunteer once a month at one service by helping to seat people and share important information while maintaining our building guidelines in the time of worshiping during a pandemic. We are so thankful for the ministry our ushers and greeters offer to our church family.

Flowers

Celebrate an event or remember someone special by sharing flowers with the congregation in the worship services. Sign up by calling the church office or contact Kenlyn Geraldi. You will receive one flower arrangement that is yours to take home following the services. Close to the date we will contact you for choice of colors or special requests. The typical cost is $30.
