One way that we love God is through the ritual of worship. While worship doesn't have to happen on a Sunday morning in a church building, we gather together because it reminds us how important our faith is in our lives. Also, it's good to see our church family!
We know there are seasons in all our lives when we don't always feel like worshiping, or it seems like an impossible thing to 'add to the list.' But it's kind of like going to the gym, or making time for that walk: you may not want to go at first... but you never regret it in the end.
Worship is a key part of an active faith life, and we want you to join us. You are invited to come and see what we are talking about this Sunday!
I'm sure many of you expected to see this note, as YPC has been following COVID-19 regulations since mid-March, and now with the new sets of numbers, it is time to move online again.
Remember: Church is not cancelled, we just meet online. God is still moving and acting and loving and forgiving. Jesus Christ is a force to be reckoned with. The Holy Spirit is in our homes, uniting us in fellowship.
In the coming days we will be developing a more interactive online worship where we all gather at the same time (livestream style) and can see each other, but don't worry, if you miss it 'live' you will still have worship!
But for worship this week, you can expect an email tomorrow in the online style that you are familiar with: liturgy with links to videos on Youtube. And it's a doosy of a scripture so you will want to check it out! (If you are not getting our weekly emails, please signup here)
Thank you for your flexibility, grace, and generosity in this time. If you have concerns or questions please reach out to the pastors!
In peace, Pastors Lauren and Matt

You are welcome to worship early, or late! We want to see you! There's always a friendly face to welcome you and help you find a spot.
The 9:00 a.m. indoor service is a more traditional service with organ, adult choir and hand bells. The 10:00am outdoor service is shortened to prayer, scripture and message only. The 11:15 a.m. outdoor service is contemporary with our praise band, Messenger.
Dress is casual at YPC. (We have one member who comes barefoot.) You may see an occasional dress or sport jacket in the Traditional service.
We have an elevator you can access from the north doors. There is a power-assisted door to enter the foyer next to the elevator. We also have a "Hearing Induction Loop" system installed in the sanctuary, which transmits high quality wireless sound to people with hearing aids.
We feel children are an important part of our worshiping community. Their presence here grows out of a commitment to incorporate children into the life and mission of our congregation and nurture them into a growing relationship with God. We take very seriously our responsibility to help raise the next generation of God’s people.
There is usually plenty of parking. We have 3 parking lots: in front of the church (on York) where we have reserved 3-4 spaces right in front for guests, in back (the best place for elevator access), and along Lexington Street.
We can help. Give us a call at 630.833.6600 (M-Th 9am-5pm) or click on the "contact us" link at the top of this page.
